i don;t know about them being biblical..... but they do work.... and are more humane than the old way of calling in predatory cats...(twisting the broken leg of a cotton tail rabbit to make it scream)....both methods bring in everything from bobcats to mountain lions...... the same call works on coyotes too.... .. i have never hunted predators myself - but i heard from good authority about it....

Probably would work on foxes too. One night, a cat got hit by a car near our driveway. It began screaming and howling loudly. As I was grabbing the flashlight, the screaming stopped suddenly. When I stepped out on the porch, I saw a fox running through the driveway.
